LOCAL INSTALLATION


As with many email services, you are now required to set up a more secure form of sending emails.


To set up a GMail email address with SoEasy you will need:

  1. Stunnel. A secure encrypted connection between SoEasy and the Gmail server which we provide a service to install for you at a small cost. Book service
  2. Your GMail user name
  3. A Gmail password. 

Your normal logon GMail password will not work. You will need to set up an 'App Password'. For more information on 'App Passwords' see this link

  1. Visit your App passwords page. See the topic "How to generate an App password'. You may be asked to sign in to your Google Account. 
  2. At the bottom, click 'Select app' and choose the app you’re using. 
  3. Click Select device and choose the device you’re using. 
  4. Select Generate. 
  5. Follow the instructions to enter the App password (the 16 character code in the yellow bar) on your device. 
  6. Select Done.
