When you get up early (1:00 am now) you really need to think about how you can manage hunger.
If you choose the wrong food to eat it will make you crash.
When I wake up I have exactly 30 gms of organic wholegrain porridge oats + 160 gms of mineral water + 5-10 gms of cranberries, pinch of rock salt and a dash of unsweetened almond milk.
This handles my cravings for about 4 hours. Then I will have a cup of black filtered coffee. (No sugar or milk). I use coffee to just push me out of a small feeling of hunger.
Then at 7-8 I may have something that I know will esasiate me until 12:00 ish where I will then make up a soup or a smoothie.
Satiating Snacks (foods that make you feel full)
Eggs and cheese
The combination of fats and proteins will fix a mild feeling of hunger.
Sort your ingredients
- 2 free range or organic eggs (Caged eggs are claimed to not be as nutritious as free range and organic and why would you want a caged egg?)
- Small amount of grated cheese
- Pinch of rock salt
Mix in a bowl.
Stir into a deep dish pan until cooked
I have also added some mung beans that were in the fridge. Add any vegetable but avoid anything with sugar like tomato sauce. Even a little can spike insulin and we do not want that if we want to be alert and active.
