Topic 1:    About Working From Home

If there is an opportunity for your and your staff to work from home it would be a great achievement:

  • Less pollution
  • Less cost
  • Less road congestion
  • Save time

However there are several subjects that need to be addressed:

  1. Setting up to work from home
Home computers need to be setup to securely connect to your work systems. This is best done by our support staff. You can follow the instructions in the Topic 2 section below however staff PC's tend to have a more complicated route and it is worthwhile getting us to do the setup. A small fee is charged for this service of $40 + gst. During this set up we will:

    a) Handle the communication with staff
    b) Setup a secure SoEasy connection
    c) Setup the printer
    d) Check Internet settings
    e) Provide a quick tutorial inline with your company operation

  2. Recording hours
When working from home, productivity can be affected because people tend to be distracted by home life.
Self management can be a difficult activity so it is important to monitor each person's performance daily.

  3. Monitoring performance
There are ways of monitoring output inside SoEasy. One way is to produce a sales report and review the 'Time' section.

  4. Job Management
If staff are only managing Jobs then they would be best using our Job Management modules where:
    a) You can allocate them jobs
    b) Each job is individually times

Example 1: This Job Management System is best for tracking time where staff choose which job they would like to work on.

Example 2: This Job Management System is best for allocating jobs to staff.
The panel only shows staff the jobs they have been allocated.

Job Management Modules are separate programs. Please contact us for more details: Contact Us

Topic 3:    Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: What do I do to connect Teamviewer?

1. Stop any current instances of Teamviewer

2. Click this link to install Teamviewer 9 quick support: https://download.teamviewer.com/download/version_9x/TeamViewerQS.exe

3. Let support know your ID and Password

Q2: Do we need a special IP Address?

No

Q3: How Do Staff Logon to the System From Home?

At work there are two specific logon stages:

  1. The Remote Desktop secure connection
  2. SoEasy's username and password

The Remote Desktop Secure Connection connects the user to the remote server your SoEasy is hosted on.

These credentials are usually saved to the PC so you never have to enter the details again.

This connection is unique and it is this connection that you would use at work and at home.

The only issue is that you can only have one person using this connection at a time.

Scenario:

Bob usually connects to SoEasy from his PC at work on Workstation 1.

However Bob now works from home and has the same connection on his home PC.

Mary is at work and decides to use Bob's PC. When Mary connects to SoEasy, if Bob is logged on to SoEasy at home, he will be disconnect without warning.

To eliminate this issue either:

a) Add another user account.
Each user account is effectively another user and is charged at the standard rates for connection.

b) Only use a specific SoEasy user account on one PC at a time.

Q4: How do I ask a Question?
