This is a structured help note on how we troubleshooted a label printer setup in Ilam.

1: Server Settings - This is how we set up our server settings

The printer driver is installed on our server.

The label layout has been setup on our server but this may not be as important as the label setup on the customers PC.

On the customers workstations, the drivers have been loaded and setup

Also, TerminalWorks is installed and setup

Setup SoEasy's print options

Print something from SoEasy that uses the printer

You will be prompted to select the printer driver.

And check the print.

Task complete

RECEIPT PRINTER

Summary: TSPrint Setup for EPSON TM-T82IIIL over RDP

Goal:
Enable POS software on the server to print receipts on workstation-local Epson printers, using TSPrint over RDP.

? Key Advice from TerminalWorks Support (Marino):

  1. Use Printer Redirection
Instead of pre-mapping the printer manually, let TSPrint redirect the local printer during the RDP session.

  2. Unique Printer Names per User
Redirected printers will have a #SessionID suffix.
✅ To ensure consistency, enable "Static redirect printer naming" in:

    mathematicaCopyEdit
TSPrint Server Options → Redirection Tab
  3. Install Software:

    • TSPrint Server on the RDP server

    • TSPrint Client on each local workstation

  4. Setup Redirection:

    • In TSPrint Client Options, select only the Epson printer to be redirected.

    • Ensure the Epson printer works locally before RDP connection.

  5. Confirm Defaults:

    • On each workstation, check Printing Defaults to ensure Epson settings are correct.

What I would do is redirect the local Epson printer into the remote session, each user will have their own with a unique identifier in the printer name
You can choose which printers you wish to redirect in the TSprint Client options
for example
this way you will not fill the server with unnecessary printers
Usually redirected printers will have a #NUMBER at the end of the printer name, that number will change depending on the Remote Desktop session ID
is that a problem here?
example
So Each time the user logs on to the server, a different number appears... Our sofware will need to mage a redirected printer. I think we can do this.
TerminalWorks - Marino
we have a solution for that as well, you can see that each user always receives the same number but the numbers will be different for each user You can set this option in the TSPrint Server Options under the redirection tab, see below
If you see no issues with this configuration I would suggest testing it out, the set up is really simple you just need to install the TSPrint Server on the remote desktop machine and TSPrint Client on the local PC
ensure that the users can print from the local PC to the Epson and then configure the redirection in the TSPrint Client Options
once you connect to the server the printer will be available
just be sure that all the correct settings are done on the local machine in the Printing Defaults settings
