  3. If you find the SoEasy icon, restore it

> 2: New PC Setup

If you have a new computer then hopefully the tech has copied the SOEASY directory to your C Drive.

If not, and you have a backup, then copy the entire SOEASY Directory to your new computer's C Drive so that the copied folders and files look like this:

then just follow the 'Lost Icon' instructions below.

NOTE: Once set up and you have checked everything is running correctly, don't forget to delete the old SoEasy directory from the old computer.

IMPORTANT: A local installation of SoEasy will only run on a 32 bit operating system.

Most installations these days ar 64 bit and you would have to ask specifically to get a 32 bit Windows operating System installation.

If you only have a 64 bit operating system then you will need to move onto our Managed Server Services where we host your software in the cloud.

There are lots of benefits about being on Managed Server Services so please check out the offerings.

> New Installation Checklist

If you are on Managed Server Services, then the checklist is covered in the topic below: Type 1: Managed Server Services Installation.

If you have installed SoEasy locally on a Windows 32 bit operating system, then please check the following:

1. Printers are set up correctly

Install the printer driver on the new computer and test that the printer is working

Open SoEasy, go to the 'Front Company Menu', Select 'Printers'

2. PDF Printer is Set up

SoEasy can output reports to a PDF Printer if you set one up.

3. Email Module Printer

If you have the Email Module installed, then there are two things to check:

i. The Email Module Printer is Setup (as above)

ii. The Email Module works

a) Open SoEasy and go to the Cash Book > Set up

b) Test the email system by sending yourself an email

If it does not work it could be that 'Stunnel' is not installed. If so you will need to book a service.
